From January 28 2014 at the Sala Bianca of the Pitti Palace in Florence a great exhibition Once in your life. Treasures from Archives and Libraries of Florence.

The exhibit consists of 133 pieces including documents, manuscripts, books and drawings; some of them never show before, such as a drawing by Michelangelo showing sketches of blocks of marble in shape of a cross. We can see illuminated messals, the first dictionary of the Crusca 1612, an edition of Vasari’s Le vite, 1568, an edition of the Divine Comedy with Botticelli’s illustrations. Besides the document according which Pietro Leopold of Lorreine abolished death penalty in Tuscany in 1786 and very many more.
