From February 11 to May 11 2014 the Uffizi Gallery of Florence hosts the exhibition dedicated to the painting collection of Francesco Molinari Prandelli, famous musician and conductor, born in Bologna in 1911.
The exhibit The rooms of the Muses. Baroque paintings from the Molinari Prandelli ‘S Collection shows, through a selection of one hundred paintings, the increasing passion of the musician for the baroque paintings, mainly still lives, since 1950’s.
The most important Italian schools of paintings of the XVII century are represented. The emilian school with Faccini, Mastelletta, Cagnacci and Gandolfi, the school of Naples with Luca Giordano, De Mura, Spadaro. The venetian school with Palma il Giovane, Ricci, Pittoni and the Lombard school with Strozzi, Procaccini, fra Galgario Bazzani and many more.
