Until January 8th 2012 in the Room 2 of the Uffizi Gallery of Florence The Madonna and seventeen scenes of Mary's life from the Pušhkin Museum of Moscow will be visible. It is a very important XIII century painting which can be compared with the famous Maestà preserved in the same room. The Madonna by Duccio, the Madonna by Cimabue and the Madonna by Giotto. The Madonna from Moscow is displayed together with other paintings: a Crucifix and St. Francis stigmata from the Uffizi and St.Francis and eight stories of his life from the Museo Civico of Pistoia. Scholars suggest they might be painted by the same unknown master called Master of the Crucifix n.434 of the Uffizi.
Do reserve a private tour of the Uffizi following your official turist guide of Florence and enjoy the visit.
