Florence is one of the most attended destinations and during the high season the city seems to be particularly crowded. Mainly it is due to the increase of cruise ship groups arriving three or four days a week in Livorno (the pier on the coast). They fill up the city centre and the museums so that even with a reservation you may wait or you may need to elbow or to crane your neck to see something. I suggest to change your habit. Why reserving guided tours and visits at the museums always in the morning? Please do choose a guided tour in middle afternoon, please do reserve a museum later on (state museums are open until 6.50 pm! ), you will see the difference!
