Until June 5th 2011 a very interesting exhibition at the Sala Bianca of the Pitti Palace in Florence: Restitutions – Restored treasures of art - XV edition. More than 80 masterpieces from all over Italy recently restored. Among them the wonderful terracotta frieze made for Lorenzo the Magnificent for his Villa in Poggio a Caiano. Or the baroc silver and gilded silver statue of Saint Michael Arcangel, belonging to the Treasure of San Gennaro in the Cathedral of Naples. Another wonderful piece is the tapestry from the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, made according to Rafael’s preparatory drawing.
