Until  June 5th 2011 a very interesting exhibition  at the Sala Bianca of the Pitti Palace in Florence:  Restitutions – Restored treasures of art  - XV edition. More than 80 masterpieces from all over Italy recently restored.  Among them the wonderful  terracotta frieze made for Lorenzo the Magnificent for his Villa in Poggio a Caiano. Or the baroc silver and gilded silver statue of Saint Michael Arcangel, belonging to the Treasure of San Gennaro in the Cathedral of Naples. Another wonderful piece is the tapestry from the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, made according to Rafael’s  preparatory  drawing. Do visit the Palatina Gallery with your official tourist guide in Florence and see the exhibition with the same ticket!
