This year is the fifth centenary of Raphael's death, the famous painter and architect in fact died in Rome in 1520. The director of Le Gallerie degli Uffizi ( Uffizi Gallery nd Palatina Gallery) decided to loan some paintings to the very important exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome. The absolute masterpieces are surely the Portrait of the Pope Leo X (the Medici Pope), just back from a long restauration, La Velata ( Woman with a veil), The Porttrait of Tommaso Inghirami, The Madonna of the Granduke, the Madonna dell'Impannata. The exhibition in Rome was just opened when the Italian Government decided to close public places and to oblige people staying at home, but you can have a look at the exhibit on line.
