From March 20 2012 until June 3 2012 at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence the exhibition La Galleria degli arazzzi. Epifanie di tessuti preziosi. (The tapestries collection. Epiphany of precious fabrics).
The exhibit consists of 17 selected tapestries from the rich collection of the Uffizi Gallery which were removed in 1987 from the walls of the corridors of the Uffizi, because light, dust and stress of beeing hunged accelerate their decline . This is the first time after the restoration they are visible to public, before being preserved and displayed in the rooms appositely arranged for them at the ground floor of the famous gallery. It is a great opportunity of seeing these incredible masterpieces belonging to Flemish manufacturing of the XVI century and Florentine manufacturing of the XVI and XVII century.
