From March 9 2017 until June 4 2017 at the Uffizi Gallery of Florence an interesting exhibition regarding a nun paintress: Plautilla Nelli. Art and devotion in convent following Savonarola. Five paintings by Plautilla (one of the few paintresses in XVI century), found out in Umbria and Tuscany and representing a female domenican saint, were an important contribution to the reconstruction of the activity of Plautilla. The exhibit wants even to point out the serial production of devotional imagines through different techniques. Visit the exhibition with your official guide of Florence.
