Until May 1st 2011 at the Museum Annigoni at Villa Bardini in Florence the exhibition: Novecento sedotto. The charm of the XVII century between the two World Wars. From Velasquez to Annigoni. The exibit consists of 50 works whose XX century authors, such as Longhi, De Chirico, Primo Conti and Annigoni seem to be strongly influenced by Jusepe Ribera, Artemisia Gentileschi and Diego Velasquez (see his just restored Water man ). Besides the exhibition is divided in three sections and describes the Seicento ( XVII century), showing an incredible relationship between ancient and modern painters.
