Do you know how many works by Michelangelo (Buonarroti) are preseved in Florence? They are almost 30, without considering the over 200 drawings hosted in Casa Buonarroti Museum. Most of these masterpieces are statues, relieves and some bozzetti. The statues are very famous: the David, the Saint Mathew, the Prisoners, the statues for the Medici tombs, the Genius of Victory and many more. The clay bozzetti are small but really beautiful. The only natural size model preserved is a "River god" in unfired clay, sand and vegetal fibers. There are also the wooden model for the façade of the Church of San Lorenzo and the only painting by Michelangelo in Florence, the so called Tondo Doni. All these works are preserved in different museums and it is impossible to see them in one day, therefore do reserve a private tour with your official tourist guide of Florence. She will take you through this magnificent path looking for the young Michelangelo, the already famous Michelangelo and the genius of Michelangelo!
