In Florence at the Museo degli Argenti of the Pitti Palace a nice exhibition is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the collection of the Museum of the Porcelain: Luxury and Elegance. The French porcelain at court and the Ginori manufacturing. Until June 23 2013.
The exhibit shows pieces belonging to a period including the Kingdom of Etruria, with Luisa of Borbon Parma (1801-1807, the coming of Napoleon with his sister Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, who was first princess of Lucca and Piombino (1805-1809) and then granduchess of Tuscany (1809-1814) and finally the period of the Lorraine Restauration (1815-1830).
Particularly the exhibition points out the development of the Doccia manufacturing and the Ginori manufacturing and the importance of French examples for both of them, expecially objects produced by the Sèvres manifacturig.
