Until September 28 2014 the Galleria Palatina of the Pitti Palace in Florence will host the exhibition Jacopo Ligozzi "pittore universalissimo" (universal painter). Jacopo Ligozzi was born in Verona and went to Florence in 1577 at the court of Francis I of the Medici family. The selection of works wants to put in evidence him as a painter of "Naturalia" (nature), as a painter of portraits and as a designer of embroderies and semi-precious in lay works. The second part of the exhibit shows the religious subjects works, painted for several churches of Florence, among them: SS. Annunziata, Santa Maria Novella, Ognissanti and Santa Croce.
