Until October 24th The National Museum Alinari of Photography, in its seat in S. Maria Novella Square in Florence puts up the exibit "In praise of negative. The origins of photography on paper in Italy. 1846 - 1862"
Since the XIX century professional photographers, but even amateurs, used the paper negative which allowed photography to enter the world of Art. The exibition consist of more than 110 original works from public and private collections. William Henry Fox Talbot showed the first technique negative/positive which was able to produce several positive imagines from a unique negative made on paper.
