Since March 8 2011 at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence an incredible exhibition is on show: Figures, memories, space. Drawings from Fra’ Angelico to Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibit about Italian Renassaince drawings, from the beginning of the XV century to the beginning of the XVI century, consists of 50 drawings belonging to the Cabinet of Drawings of the Uffizi and 50 drawings from the British Museums in London. Some of the most important artists of Renaissance are represented: Beato Angelico , Filippo and Filippino Lippi, Pollaiolo, Verrocchio, Botticelli, Perugino, Ghirlandaio, Leonardo, Raffaello e Michelangelo, but even Bellini, Mantegna, Titian. The art of drawing shown as the first stage of a project, as the testing of a technique and as a thought of the antique and of the human body. Until June 12 2011. The exhibition is at the first floor at the Gabinetto dei Disegni, but it continues at the Reali Poste, show room on the oppositeside of the Uffizi Loggiato. There you can find some of the best pieces: such as drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rafael, Filippino Lippi. The ticket is the same of the Uffizi Gallery at the second floor. Visiting the main gallery with the paintings by Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael is a must and with an official local guide of Florence it will be better!
