Since March 14th 2015 at the Strozzi Palace of Florence the incredible exhibition dedicated to the Ellenistic sculpture: Power and Pathos. Bronzes from the Ellenistic world. Wonderful statues are displayed to show the development of art during the Ellenistic Period between the IV and the I century B.C..
The subjects are monumental statues of divinities, athletes, heroes and portraits of historical characters presented with their stories of discovery. These masterpieces are coming from some of the most important museums in the world: the National Archeological Museum of Florence, the National Museum of Prado in Madrid, the National Archeological Museum of Naples, the British Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, the National Archeological Museum of Athens, the Uffizi Gallery of Florence, the Art Museum of Wien and the Louvre Museum of Paris.
