Drawings from the Louvre. Italian Renaissance in the Rothschild Collection from May 27th maggio to 14 September at the Museum Casa Buonarroti in Florence.
In 1930 the baron Rothschild gave to the Louvre Museum an incredibile collection of drawings and engravings. Theese works, studied by the Département des Arts Graphiques of the Louvre, include a great amount of Italian reinassance drawings.
For the first time in Italy an exibition organized by the Louvre takes place and this happens exactly in Florence. This event is due to the cooperation between the Foundation of Casa Buonarroti and the Départment des Arts Graphiques.
Among the very many precious drawings, the highlights are surely those ones made by Pisanello, Jacopo Salimbeni, Leonardo Da Vinci, Raffaello, Fra Bartolomeo and Benozzo Bozzoli.
It is also a great opportunity of visiting a small great Museum "Casa Buonarroti" where important statues, relieves, clay models and drawings by Michelangelo are preserved.
