In Florence, until 1750, the 25th of March was New Year's Day. Nowadays the city Government of Florence wants to remember this tradition with an Historical Parade. The Parade starts from Palagio di Parte Guelfa (near Porcellino Market) at 4:00 pm on March 25 and passing through the central streets, arrives at Santissima Annunziata Church. This church, dedicated to the Virgin Annunciated, has a special altar where members of the local Government, dressed up in Renaissance customes, bring white lilies. Reserve a private tour with your official private guide of Florence. Enjoy the Parade!
