Artisans at work in a special space in the city centre of Florence: the event, called Lungoungiorno, which means Onedaylong, will be on 3 winter Saturdays. We have just had the meeting on January 29th. The next ones will be on February 26th and March 26th 2011 at the SAM (Space for Art and Work (mestieri in italian), in Giano della Bella street on the other side of the Arno river, in a historical place called the Conventino (the little convent). You might see glass masters making unique glass by hand, semi-precious stone workers, smiths, painters and ecodesigners.
From 10:30 in the morning until 7:30 pm a long day dedicated to the excellent world of artisanate. Free entrance.
It is a great opportunity for visiting the Oltrarno, rich of wonderful Churches (Santo Spirito, Cappella Brancacci), and Museums (the Pitti Palace). Choose your private tour guide and follow her!
