The exibition “ The shape of book: from roll to codex (III century B.C. – XIX century A.C.) shows  the materials and the shapes of writing and of books both in  East and West Countries. It consists of 40 pieces all from the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana. The exibition takes place in the magnificent  building Michelangelo built   for the Medici and it is also a great opportunity of seeing the famous staircase designed by the great artist.  It will be visible from  6th September 2009 until 6th January 2010,  from Sunday to Friday (closed on Saturday) from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Entrance fee: 6 euros (free entrance on 26 and 27 September on the occasion of the European Estate Days).
