The Museo degli Innocenti of Florence hosts the exhibition Alphonse Mucha. The seduction of Art Nouveau. Until April7 2024 we could apreciate more than 200 works, showing the Belle Epoque, when Paris, between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century was the centre of the world. Mucha became very popular , due even to his meeting Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous actress at that time, who entrusted him her imagine. He introduced a new way of communicating: the beautiful young girls in blossom, a mix between holy and profane which made him requested and unique. In 1910 he was back in Prague where he made his masterpiece The Slavian Epic (twenty big canvas showing the main events of the history of his country. He died in Prague in 1939.
