I suggest not to miss the exhibit At gods feet. Art of shoes from ancient Rome to colossal movies and comtemporary fashion, at the Museo delle Moda and del Costume of the Pitti Palace of Florence. Until April 19 2020. The exhibition consists of 80 pieces, from roman caligae and aristocratic sandals to the footwear created for famous colossal movies such as Ben Hur and The Gladiator, up to modern creations by Emilio Pucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and Yves Saint Laurent.
The Museum hosts a permanent show of the funeral dresses of Cosimo I of the Medici and his wife Eleonor of Toledo.
